What are the "Latter" and "Longer"?
"Longer" is character depictions and information provided on the character before 2002; "Latter" is anything beyond that but particually relates to beyond episode 001.
Why do I sometimes find an older version of the site on search enguines/why are there so many URLs for it?
There have been issues with hosting in the past. Hopefully, this is now done and dusted. There is now a domain name for the site, which means there will ALWAYS be at least one port of call for it now.
Your site makes me angry in some way. I may feel negatively about your suggestion that Spears and Chandler would make a wonderful couple, or that Chandler was a good person, or your disparragement of Mickey Webb, or disparragement of Paul Marquess, or that you are just an armchair dictator who has nothing better than to live in your hole and whinge. Why don't you go do something constructive with your life?
I appreciate any reaction. I think that probably whatever you have to say is worthy of airtime so you can email me if you please.
I would say that I am not an armchair dictator. I have written to producers before, and recieved letters back. They did not in any way reply to concerns and arrived six months after the inital letter was sent, but this indicated to me the producer had no answers to my questions- that is, they were statements, and statements of fact.
I would suggest that you read up the THEM.Investigation on Theatrical Techniques to make sure first you are not misguided or uninformed properly, failing that watch some of the true Chandler era episodes, between On the Hook and the end of 2001 episodes, then watch post 001 episodes, one after each other, and I am personally confident that if eyes and ears are kept open (or using teletext captions, whatever suits you) you will notice differences THEM. has.
I have also tried to mail onen of my THEM.Investigations to the rightful addressee- Geoff Tibballs- and it was returned to sender. So, it seems ITV and Marquess are not interested in answering questions.
Also, having done a degree in Media, I have some insight into the politics of TV. From what I know, Marquess is a self-absorbed git who deserves everything I say about him and more. Of course, I seek the day when he can prove me wrong. I am not holding my breath.
Not having addressed Mickey Webb...Mickey Webb seems like a decent fellow. Had he not tried to bring Tom Chandler down (albeit in a portion of history of the show which I deem to be illegitimate anyway) or tried to drag Spears away from Chandler, there would be no animosity. But like the Water Rats fans who held their resolve for Jack and Goldie, or perhaps even Taggart fans who pine for Michael and Jackie (do those people even exist?), I won't be moved from my resolve, despite knowing I am in the minority.
And anyway, last time I googled my site's the only one still alive about Tom Chandler, Kate Spears or characters in the Bill from 2002. And I'm the ONLY one with a domain name.
